There were two main connections I found between the factors and the zeros. The first connection was that when a factor is equal to x, it gives you the zeros to that problem. The second connection I found was that if you can find the zeros, it will give you the factors; and if you can find the factors, it will give you the zeros. Division helps us to factor polynomials because the division process gives you the factored form of the problem. The degree of the polynomial helps us to predict the number of zeros because it tells us how many zeros there will be in the problem we are solving. The degree of the polynomial does always tell us how many zeros there will be in the problem because that's how many x's there are.
